Alpine Hill Climb ver. 1.0 has been released
The 1.0 version of Alpine Hill Climb (with downhill version as well) has been completed.
Here's little summary:
- Almost 9km long track
- Plenty of hi resolution mapped textures
- Hi-polygon trees and models
- 4735908 polygons used to build this project
(and it would be even more if ks editor was not crashing with anymore polys)

there will be an update at the appropriate time.
Known issues of 1.0:
- no spline
- no replay cameras
- some pieces of terrain yet not well sculpted
- some guardrails may not work properly
- no collision at trees
- FPS performance may be poor at weak PC's

Fantastic tracks, ChrisB! I read the read me file from your Hill Climb track. You mentioned being over 4M polygons and you could have gone higher if it weren't for KS Editor giving you fits. Then I noticed your entire track is in one single .kn5 file (922MB!)... Have you ever thought of splitting it up into separate .kn5 files? I've noticed several track builders do this. Look at Bridgehampton and Riverside tracks, for example. Now, I don't know if those track builders use separate .kn5 files just for tidiness or if it's because it is better performing and more memory efficient compared to one HUGE .kn5 file.. Have you ever thought about that? Am I wrong? Does it make no difference at all?
